Common Grackle
Grackles are blackbirds, with iridescent purple-blue feathers on the back, neck and head. Their legs and heads are also black; they have yellow eyes, and a long tail. Grackles measure 11-13 inches in length, have a wingspan of 14-18 inches, and weigh anywhere from 2.6 – 5 ounces

Great Blue Heron
Approximately 15 years
Size: 3.2 to 4.5 ft. Wingspan: 5.5 to 6.6 ft. Weight: 4.6 to 7.3 lbs
The Great Blue Heron is a tall, light blue-grey bird with long black legs. Blue Herons have a black belly, and a black stripe along its white head. The beak is long, and pointed.

PIGEON
They average 3-5 years in the wild. Captive pigeons generally live up to 15 years but some have been known to live for up to 35 years.

CALIFORNIA GULL
10-15 years
Length: 18 to 21 inches long with a 40 to 50 inch wingspan.
They are in general medium to large birds typically grey or white, often with black markings on the head or wings. They have stout, longish bills and webbed feet.

HOUSE SPARROW
House sparrows have a wingspan of 6 inches. They have a body length of 5-6 inches. Male house sparrows have streaked brown plumage with pale cheeks, a grey crown and black bib. The females are paler and without the patterned head.

STARLING
Starlings are 8 inches in length, and have a wingspan of 8-10 inches. In the summer, starlings are black with an iridescent purple and green sheen and a yellow bill. In the winter, their white speckles become more prominent. Juveniles are mousy brown with a pale chest, and lack the spotted breast of the adults.
Starlings are native to Europe and Asia, but have been introduced worldwide.

BARN SWALLOW
Length: 6-8 inches.
Swallows have long pointed wings and a deeply forked tail. The back is covered in metallic dark-blue feathers. The chest and parts of the underside of the wings are white, cream or pinkish. The face is a deep red. They have a large mouth with a small bill; and short legs.
